POSITION OVERVIEW
1) The University is seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join its team as Affiliate Faculty Lecturers and Administrative Staff on a part-time basis.
2) These roles encompass teaching, administrative duties, and active participation in our mission to deliver high-quality, student-centric education at an affordable cost.

NATURE OF THE AFFILIATE FACULTY POSITION
1) The Affiliate Faculty Lecturer or Administrative positions at THE STUDENT'S VOICE UNIVERSITY are temporary, part-time roles designed to support the academic and administrative functions of the University.
2) Affiliate Faculty members are appointed on an hourly-paid basis or equivalent, with contracts typically lasting for one academic year, but renewed based on performance and the University's ongoing staffing needs.
3) These positions offer flexibility for individuals who may have other professional commitments or are seeking to gain teaching or administrative experience while pursuing further studies or careers.
4) While Affiliate Faculty members may not hold full-time or tenure-track positions, they play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education, supporting student learning, and contributing to the University's mission of academic excellence and corporate social responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1) Delivering engaging and interactive lectures, seminars, and workshops in lectures and tutorials at undergraduate DIPLOMA or CERTIFICATE levels [in specialized subject areas] while promoting student voice in learning.
2) Developing course materials, syllabi, curriculum, and assessments in collaboration with the academic team.
3) Providing mentorship, guidance, and academic support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
4) Participating in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and academic planning sessions as required.
5) Participating in student enrollment, advertisements of the University and its programs or services.
6) Performing administrative duties as assigned – Affiliate Administrative Faculty.
7) Performing any other miscellaneous duties as assigned and deemed expedient to institutional advancement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1) Full Grade Twelve Certificate with 5 O Levels including Mathematics and English Language.
2) Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field (Diploma with relevant experience is accepted).
3) Registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) is a must.
4) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
5) Familiarity with educational technology, online learning platforms, and/or social media marketing or web development is an added advantage.
6) Teaching or administrative experience of at least one or two years is an added advantage. Teaching methodology qualification is an added advantage.
7) Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to social impact and effective collaboration in diverse settings. Experience with NGO environments, project management, social work or community development initiatives is advantageous.
FURTHER REQUIREMENTS
Online Induction Training After Recruitment
1) Successful candidates will complete "THE STUDENT VOICE 1010 - KNOW HOW AND WHY?" induction training ONLINE for Two (2) weeks before their official appointment, followed by a Swearing-In Ceremony as prescribed by the Articles.
2) Participation in the Induction Training will incur a non-refundable fee of ZMK300 Only, as outlined in the "Public Notice Memorandum" dated January 8, 2024, available for perusal on the University's official Facebook Page “The Student’s Voice University –SVU”.
Note that NO PAYMENT is required for recruitment at any stage other than the specified training fee.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

Our monthly pay structure for part-time faculty members aligns with industry standards, considering qualifications, experience, and performance. It utilizes the University's revenue model for fair compensation and financial sustainability.

Hourly Pay Option: Compensation based on an agreed hourly rate for all tasks performed, including teaching, office hours, meetings, and grading. Hourly rates are determined based on the University's budget and actual hours worked.

Fixed Monthly Salary: Stable monthly salary for financial security.

Payment Per Course: Compensation based on the number of courses taught, with additional pay for extra hours worked beyond the standard workload.
NOTE: As a Nonprofit Higher Education Institution, the University employs a revenue-sharing model, utilizing funds from student fees, donations, grants, and other sources to support our initiatives, including staff compensation (salaries & benefits). Profits generated are RE-INVESTED back into the University to advance its goals and support our dedicated employees and faculty members, recognizing their integral role in shaping institutional success.
